UPP Foot Patrolling Overview
UPP Foot Patrolling is a program developed by Uttar Pradesh Police Technical Services for Android devices. The initiative focuses on ensuring foot patrolling by police officers for one hour daily in the evenings, particularly in markets and crowded areas. Participation is expected from various levels of law enforcement, including Senior Superintendent of Police, Police Station Incharge, and Sub Inspector. The program emphasizes establishing positive communication with the public to enhance trust in the police force and encourage citizens to easily report issues or concerns without fear.
The Additional Director General of Police Zone, Inspector General of Police, and Deputy Inspector General of Police are also tasked with overseeing foot patrolling activities within their respective jurisdictions. Daily foot patrolling details, including information, proceedings, and photos, are required to be uploaded to a designated portal by the responsible officers. Furthermore, these reports are to be shared on the district's website and social media platforms for public awareness.
